Of Arabic origin, means "the guide", "good advice". It is understood also as "the right", in the sense of the one who has an exemplary behavior. It is called Rachidioun, "the well directed" the first four caliphs of Islam, successors of Muhammad. Later, the famous caliph of Baghdad, hero of Arabian Nights, Haroun El Rachid, was therefore "Haroun the guide". No feast date known.
